Wrench is a fiery competitor who leads her team, the Boltechs, in the high-stakes "Fight League," a tournament where squads clash using custom-built weapons known as Gadgets. Despite their passion and grit, Wrench and her teammates have never managed to dominate—their wins and losses balance out, leaving them stuck in the middle of the pack. Frustrated by their lack of progress, she takes a risky gamble by inserting an old, enigmatic chip from her grandfather into her Gadget.

This reckless move backfires—or so it seems—when a girl of terrifying power materializes out of nowhere. Calling herself Mona Chrome, she joins the Boltechs, and with her overwhelming strength, the team begins crushing their rivals one after another. But as their victories pile up, whispers spread among their opponents: who—or what—is Chrome, and where does her unnatural power come from?

The Boltechs' sudden rise doesn’t go unnoticed, and rival teams start pushing themselves to dangerous extremes to keep up. Meanwhile, even Wrench begins to doubt whether Chrome’s presence is a blessing or a curse. The deeper they go in the tournament, the clearer it becomes that something about their new teammate isn’t quite human.
